A doctor in the southern Brazilian state of Ecuador was recently fired after posting a YouTube video of herself with a gun and threatening to kill a doctor who treated her in the 1990s.
In the video, posted on December 19, 2015, an Ecuadorian doctor who was treating a patient with Ebola in the city of Recife, named Elisabetha said she was afraid that she might be infected with the disease after being told by the patient’s father that his son was dead.
“I am going to kill the doctor,” Elisabela says in the video.
“I am not going to die in this hospital.”
The doctor’s father later called the Ecuadorian authorities, who fired Elisabella, the report said.
Elisabeth, who also goes by the name “Bubba,” has since returned to Ecuador to live with her family in a rural area.
Her family did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
